Organoid Engineering

Design and culture of 3D organoid systems to model development and disease at tissue scale.

At the VKL Lab, our Organoid Engineering focus aims to replicate complex human and animal tissue architectures in vitro. We leverage cutting-edge stem cell biology to design and culture robust 3D organoids, including advanced pancreatic, cardiac, and epithelial models.

These sophisticated tissue models allow us to closely investigate tissue development, host-pathogen interactions, and the underlying pathophysiology of devastating diseases. By bridging the gap between basic 2D cell culture and complex in vivo physiological systems, our organoid platforms accelerate the discovery of targeted therapeutics and provide a powerful tool for personalized medicine and veterinary diagnostics.
